Cap City Basketball is excited to start their 6th Spring AAU season with a total of four total tryouts in three cities across New Hampshire. Players are only required to make one tryout.
Concord, Hampton and Manchester will host multiple travel teams again this Spring. The Cap City program has a team for all ages and abilities, as they often field both an “A“ and “B” team for each age group (both boys and girls, 3rd thru High School Seniors).
Cap City looks to continue to build on its success from last year, with both the 6th grade boys and 6th grade girls winning the “A-Division” NH State Championship last Spring. Cap City also placed runner-up at multiple levels at States last Spring. Their girls and boys teams compiled a program record 43 Zero Gravity Tournament Championships last spring.
Cap City will field up to 30 teams again this Spring, with a few of their top-tier teams competing regionally against some of the top programs in the country.
Last Spring saw a first for NH basketball, as the boys 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys were New Hampshire’s first team ever to join the elite Adidas Jr. Gauntlet Circuit, where they competed against some of the countries best teams in Delaware, NYC, and Albany, NY. This upcoming season looks to be New Hampshire’s toughest schedule once again.
Combined, the three Adidas Jr. Gauntlet teams finished with a winning record as a program, and the 6th grade boys finished runners-up in two of those events. The 7th grade girls were also invited to an Adidas Jr. Gauntlet event in Boston, where they represented Cap City well!
Most teams compete in tournaments locally (within 45 miles), with two weekday practices and 6 total weekend tournaments over their intense, 9 week program.
