Over the past 5 years, the Cap City leagues have increasingly drawn talented boys and girls of all ages to Concord on Sundays, and for the first time this Winter, Cap City will accept a limited amount of town/travel teams into the league.
The league will run 8 Consecutive Sundays, January 5th through February 23rd. These Sundays will include both a 30-Minute Practice and a full game, back-to-back. This Winter session is actually five different leagues, and players of all ages and abilities are provided a league that fits their skill-level.
The Beginner Basketball League will be for 1st through beginner 4th graders. The NCAA League will include 3rd/4th boys & girls. The G League will include 5th/6th boys & girls. The WNBA League is for girls only, 7th grade thru 9th grade. Lastly, the NBA League will consist of 7th thru 9th grade boys. Players may be moved up or down to provide an appropriate league.
We keep the schedules to Sundays only to avoid interfering with your town/travel/rec team schedules. The Winter league draws players for a variety of reasons. Some come to play with and against other talented players from other towns. Other come to get extra game play and skill-development with great coaching.
The cost of the League is $250, which includes a jersey.
We will use our first day, January 5th, as our evaluation and team placement day. Games will start the following Sunday on the 12th. Below is the schedule for January 5th, which will be held at Bishop Brady High School.
